The Allard J2: British Chassis, American V8 Power
After World War II, Sydney Allard envisioned foritfying a lightweight British designed chassis with the power of an American V8 engines. The first models were fitted with the legendary Ford flathead engines from Ford, but then expanded their offerings to include power plants from Oldsmobile, Chrysler, and Cadillac. The success of this venture spawned a number of other such marvels, including the legendary AC Cobra, the Sunbeam Tiger, and the V8-engined Triumph TR8, to name a few.
